Private Residence | Andelfingen

Lighting played a crucial role to turning this residence into a personal sanctuary.
This modern abode for a private client was brought to life by balancing vertical and accent illumination, providing a warm and soothing ambience whilst creating focal points.

Living and recreational spaces were illuminated to create focal points that not only elevated ambience but also ensured illumination for tasks.
The client’s vision for the corridor that featured personal art collection was to turn into an art gallery, where lighting draws attention and creates a moment of pause.
We adopted a direct-indirect approach which turned the corridor in to an art gallery, yet ensured this circulation space felt as homely as the rest of the residence.

Integration of luminaries where possible ensured various layers of illumination blended into the built forms yet remained accessible for future maintenance.
