Private Residence | Weinfelden

studio ombré were approached by the Client with a clear brief for the renovation of their family house in Weinfelden.
The Client asked for a simple, flexible and elegant lighting scheme that complemented the warm and subtle palette of textures.

The living space was envisioned as an extension of the family space in the newly renovated floor. A space for relaxing and rewinding, we introduced layers of ambient and accent illumination that were seamlessly integrated within spatial features.

The newly added bedrooms are intended for relaxation and recuperation. However, the lighting in these spaces needed to offer a high degree of versatility to complement mood and circadian rhythms for future use. Luminaires with tunable white LED sources allowed the clients to switch between active and relaxation modes at the touch of a button. Since the rooms could be used by other family members in the future, a simple yet intuitive lighting control system was proposed, allowing seamless transitions between intensities and colours.

Luminaires were integrated where possible and ideally out of sight, to ensure high level of visual comfort and reduced visual noise.
