Private Residence

Renovated to bring several generations together under one roof, this existing building called for a lighting approach shaped by both its character and its constraints. The main renovation was already complete when we joined the project, leaving little scope for further structural intervention. The clients envisioned a calm retreat, a place to return to after the rhythms of work and family life.

Developed in close dialogue with the clients and refined through on-site mock-ups, the concept responded as much to what they wished to avoid as to what they wanted to achieve. Every solution was carefully integrated into the existing infrastructure, requiring close coordination with the installation team throughout.

The resulting scheme is soft, warm and predominantly indirect, gently revealing architectural details such as the exposed ceiling beams. In the living area, discreet accent lighting adds focus and supports the clients’ love of reading without disturbing the room’s tranquil atmosphere.
